Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician (PCT) for 24 hours weekly on the 12-hour night shift (6:30pm–7:00am). No prior experience required for PCA track with Mercy’s 175-hour training; EMT/CPCT/CNA or nursing students are preferred.

Minimum HS diploma or equivalent, BLS within 1 month, and PCT competencies within 3 months. Join a supportive team in the 4E Neuro department where Mercy emphasizes patient care, safety, and professional growth;

Qualifications

• No experience required; may qualify for PCA with Mercy training.
• Preferred: EMT, Paramedic, PCA, CNA, or nursing student in Mercy program.
• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT enrollment or related healthcare program; eligible for Mercy UAP training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN to support wellness goals.
• Perform designated clinical and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Work as part of a team to meet unit goals and patient needs.
