Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will perform delegated clinical tasks, monitor patients, collect specimens, and assist with admissions and transfers as part of a collaborative health care team.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient support in a high-acuity setting. Night shifts and a flexible hybrid work arrangement may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities including moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and monitor patient condition; report abnormalities to RN.
• Assist RN with procedures and patient care activities.
• Perform specimen collection and basic lab procedures as delegated by RN.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers as needed.
• Support routine patient hygiene and comfort measures.
