Job summary

Mercy Hospital Dexter is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in the individualized care of patients under the direction of a nurse. This role supports clinical and non-clinical tasks to help achieve patient wellness, working as part of a compassionate team at Mercy Hospital Stoddard location in Dexter, Missouri.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPCT enrollment or current Mercy coworker status, and complete a 175‑hour training program within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Current co-worker of Mercy qualifies.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• PCT competencies to be completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN direction.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Work cooperatively as part of a patient care team.
