Job summary

Mercy Hospital Dexter is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. You will support the care team to help patients achieve their wellness goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPCT certification or enrollment in a healthcare program, and BLS within one month of hire. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking during night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/CPCT certification or enrolled in healthcare program, or current Mercy coworker.
• BLS certification within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months.
• 175-hour training program provided if no prior experience; must complete within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN direction.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Support the care team to help patients achieve wellness goals.
• Adhere to safety and physical requirements of the role.

Education
