Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Post Op Recovery Unit on the night shift. The role entails assisting with post-anesthesia care, early mobility, and ICS use under a nurse's supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required or equivalent overall.
• Must have one of the following certifications or completed programs: CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, or current clinical student in RN/LPN/RT/PT.
• One year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and ensure patient safety practices.
• Monitor patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
