Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to join the 7 Cathcart team for a full-time night shift. The unit cares for post-operative and neurological patients; you will provide direct patient care and education under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role emphasizes patient safety, timely care, and supporting family-centered care while collaborating with the PAH team to maintain high standards of quality and compassion.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) required.
• CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN degree.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care that is patient- and family-centered and supports the care team.
• Perform AM/PM care, assist with meals, hygiene, and patient positioning.
• Monitor vital signs, document observations, and report abnormalities promptly.
• Assist with safety protocols, patient transfers, and privacy maintenance.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and the healthcare team to ensure quality care.

Education

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

CNA Certification by PA or RN without BSN
