Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is looking for a skilled Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a fast-paced CSU unit. Night shift, full-time, 36 hours per week, with strong growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

The role includes assisting patients per the care plan, data collection, procedures, and collaboration with nurses to tailor care to patient populations and cultural needs. A supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• TX CNA or PCT training with NHA/NAHP/NCCT or THR approved program.
• Current EMT certification for Texas.
• CPI training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provides and revises activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Acts to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enters orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Documents accurately and appropriately.
• Adapts care to reflect patient population in collaboration with nurse.
• Incorporates cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keeps patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipates patient/family needs and rounds as appropriate.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)

CPI - Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training within 60 days of hire
