Job summary

Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the 3 North Med Surg Unit. The fast-paced unit offers a strong team environment and opportunities for growth.

Night shift (7p-7a) with PRN responsibility and potential weekend/holiday requirements. The PCT will assist patients per care plans, collect data, assist with admissions/transfers/discharges, and support daily living activities while maintaining safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provides and revises activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enters orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Documents accurately and appropriately.
• Adapts care to reflect patient population in collaboration with the nurse.
• Incorporates cultural and religious needs into delivery of care.
• Keeps patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipates patient/family and visitor needs and responds; rounds as appropriate.
