Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT is hiring a Patient Care Technician. Night shift 7pm–7:30am, EO/W/E year-round. Under a Nurse Leader, the PCT performs care activities that support safe, efficient patient care and a positive patient experience.

No experience required; on-site orientation provided and the opportunity for career advancement via the PCT clinical ladder. Training and BLS certification are required within 60 days of hire date.

Qualifications

• No experience required, on-site training provided.
• Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct and indirect patient care as part of the care team.
• Support a positive patient experience and safe care environment.
• Participate in a high-activity work setting with multiple priorities and scheduling flexibility.
