Job summary

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Nights Patient Care Tech to assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care. The role supports nursing staff and may involve cross-training as a Unit Associate.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and CPI within 90 days of hire. Preferred CNA certification or Florida CNA license or RN first semester.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into role date.
• Preferred: CNA certification or Florida CNA license, or RN program first semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Provide care to meet physical, emotional and social needs of patients.
• Serve as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCTs and cross-train to Unit Associate.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and clean unit environment.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
