Job summary

Community Health Systems in Longview, TX seeks a Patient Care Technician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, organized care environment.

The role supports teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety and infection control standards. 0–2 years of acute care experience or nursing program enrollment is preferred.

Qualifications

• BCLS – Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.
• CNA preferred or CPCT preferred.
• 0–2 years in acute care or enrolled in nursing.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record vital signs, intake/output, and weight; report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility with walkers, canes, and wheels.
• Obtain urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose testing; document results.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and ensure infection control.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and comply with safety protocols.
