Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support direct patient care on the Med Surg Unit 1. You will assist the Registered Nurse with activities of daily living, monitor patient vitals, and help maintain a safe, compassionate patient environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, BLS certification, CPR, and basic computer skills to manage patient information in the EMR. Night shift, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
• CPR certified
• Basic PC skills to manage patient information and EMR workflows

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse in direct patient care on a designated nursing unit
• Help with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, walking) and maintain environmental safety
• Support patient experience through respectful relationships and effective communication with patients and families
• Assist in telemetry monitoring and communicate concerns to licensed staff
• Perform delegated nursing tasks that are safe and under directions of the RN
• Collect and record vital signs, height/weight, intake/output using portable devices
• Assist visitors and staff with information needs and support care coordination
