Job summary

Bristol Health in Bristol, CT is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join our med/surg telemetry team on the 3rd shift. The role involves direct nursing care under RN supervision, assisting with ADLs, documentation, and coordination of care for a diverse patient population.

You will train with a dedicated Preceptor, engage in ongoing education, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certificate required and active.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active CNA certificate or 1 year experience in PCA/CNA in acute or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under the direction of an RN.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assists with lifting, transferring and mobility using proper body mechanics.
• Records inputs and outputs, vital signs, and other patient data.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Puts patient comfort first and supports family needs.
