Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK seeks a Patient Care Associate to provide patient-centered care on a 36-hour-per-week schedule with rotating weekends and holidays. Shift: Nights, 7pm-7am.

The PCA supports nursing staff under supervision and participates in both clinical procedures and essential non-clinical tasks to promote patient wellness. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC enrollment or current Mercy coworker status; BLS within 1 month; PCA competencies

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Licensure: None required.
• Experience: None required. Previous healthcare experience preferred, such as CNA.
• Certifications: BLS required within 1 month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months; CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in individualized patient care.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.
