Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK is seeking a Patient Care Associate for Med/Surg. Full-time nights 7pm-7am, 36 hours weekly, rotating weekends and holidays.

Under RN/LPN supervision, you will assist with individualized patient care and perform designated clinical and non-clinical tasks to support the care team. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and BLS within one month of hire; CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC. or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
• Licensure: None required.
• Experience: None required. Previous healthcare experience preferred, such as CNA.
• Certifications: BLS Required within one month of hire, completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
