Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join the Adult Behavioral Health Unit on the Night shift. You will provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, monitor vital signs, assist with personal care, mobility, and documentation.

You will act as a liaison between patient and nurse, deliver high level customer service to patients and families, participate in hand-offs, and ensure patient safety using standard infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Must have completed nursing aide training program or CNA/STNA cert.
• Experience in direct patient care and ability to document accurately.
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Record vital signs and assist with personal care and mobility.
• Document care accurately and participate in hand-offs with the nursing team.
