Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL, is seeking a Part-Time Night Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro unit. The role supports patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of the RN, with 2-12 hour shifts from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am.

Preferred qualifications include CNA certification, phlebotomy and EKG certifications, BLS, and at least six months in acute care.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• CNA certification from state and high school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care.
• Maintains a safe environment under RN supervision.
• Works on the Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro unit under the direction of the charge RN.
