Job summary

Scripps Mercy San Diego Hospital in Hillcrest seeks a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical Acute Team. This is a full-time night-shift role (12 hours) with 72 hours per pay period and variable days, including holidays and weekends, delivering compassionate patient care and supporting the clinical team.

The role requires CNA certification OR current enrollment in Nursing Assistant training or RN program, English proficiency, excellent interpersonal skills, and current AHA BLS for health

Qualifications

• Must hold a CNA certification or be enrolled in Nursing Assistant training.
• BLS certification required for health care providers.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal needs.
• Collect data and ensure a safe, organized environment for patients.
• Assist with patient care under the direction of a clinician.
• Support the unit with patient logistics, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
