Job summary

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA, seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support RNs within the Nursing scope. You’ll work with the Occupational Medicine team, performing patient care, vital signs, dressing changes and documentation, while collaborating with a dedicated care team.

This is a 0.6 FTE, night shift with 12-hour shifts, offering growth in a community hospital setting. Candidates should have WA Nursing Assistant certification and BLS, with 1+ year of institutional patient

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington is required.
• Enrollment in an accredited RN program may replace the certification requirement; for students, registration as a Nurse's Assistant is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers is required.
• One year of institutional patient care experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care as directed by RN/physician.
• Assist with dressing changes, data gathering, documentation and vital signs.
• Demonstrate service-oriented attitude, professional integrity and good decision making.
• Prioritize and organize duties with flexibility.
