Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit. The role emphasizes safety and patient comfort in an acute care setting.

Requirements include CNA certification, high school diploma, and knowledge of medical terminology; phlebotomy/EKG certifications and BLS within 30 days of hire are preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred at hire.
• EKG certification preferred at hire.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months current experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment on the unit.
