Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide compassionate care across diverse patient conditions. You will collect patient data and assist with daily living activities while ensuring safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, CT-approved Nurse Aide training (or in progress) and a current BLS certification; drug screening and background checks will be required. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in progress.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
• Previous healthcare/acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Assist with activities of daily living: hygiene, diet, fluids, skin care, bathing, dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility.
• Patient transport and movement as needed.
• Collect specimens and distribute linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients and monitor safety for at-risk patients.
