Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

The role requires a CNA certification (state approved) and a high school diploma, with knowledge of Medical Terminology. Preferred qualifications include phlebotomy and EKG certifications and BLS within 30 days of hire. Night shift, full-time position.

Qualifications

• CNA certification (state approved) required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• EKG certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment on the unit.
