Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking aPatient Care Associate to assist patients with daily living activities and support licensed staff. The role involves basic clinical tasks, vital signs, and documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, patient transfers, and collaboration with RNs and physicians to support examinations and treatments. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, along with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care is not a substitute for the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and eating.
• Document vital signs and other data in the EHR.
• Perform point-of-care testing, obtain vital signs, perform EKGs and phlebotomy as directed.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges and ensure rooms are stocked and cleaned.
