Job summary

UF Health in the St. Augustine region is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, delivering safe, patient-centered service during evening/night hours.

The PCA will help maintain a clean environment, collaborate with the care team, and use hospital systems while meeting licensing requirements and training within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Institute training within 90 days of hire for psychiatric unit, then annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and support safe, patient-centered care.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly environment and promote patient/family satisfaction.
• Demonstrate professional teamwork and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
