Job summary

UC Health is hiring a part-time Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 5th floor Med Surg unit for Night Shift at West Chester Hospital. The PCA provides basic direct patient care under delegation and maintains a clean, safe environment for patients and visitors.

Join our team to support patient care, learn on a busy Med Surg/Tele unit, and collaborate with clinical staff to advance healing and reduce suffering.

Qualifications

• Trained in patient care and safety.
• CPR certification or training required.
• Comfort with unit-specific safety education.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Provide hygiene and comfort measures.
• Support nutrition, feeding, and meal setup.
• Operate and manage patient care equipment safely.
• Communicate observations to the RN in a timely manner.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient environments.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge as needed.
