Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in San Diego seeks a Security Officer to ensure guest safety and security throughout the park. You will lead security operations, inspect bags, monitor entrances, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

The role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/AED and First Aid certification, strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain them.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain calm and order in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and walk for entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Primary work shifts (graveyard) eligible for night differential.
• Provide guests and team members with a safe and secure environment.
• Work security checkpoints and inspect all bags.
• Monitor park entrances and control vehicle/pedestrian traffic.
• Perform routine security patrols and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain order in large crowds and coordinate traffic directions.
• Serve as Park Dispatcher and Emergency Operations Center Officer.
• Act as Security Lead Officer or Officer in Charge when needed.
