Job summary

Southern Champion Tray in Chattanooga, TN, seeks an Aerator Operator to safely set up and run the aeration equipment. You will handle pallets of paperboard, monitor target speeds, and ensure clean, organized work areas.

The role involves reading instructions, basic math, and following safety protocols. Training and certification for powered pallet jack are required; overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimal related experience preferred.
• Must read and understand English; must be able to communicate clearly in English.
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and understand measurements.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate the aerator to achieve target speed for each run.
• Load/unload pallets of paperboard; inspect for defects.
• Operate control panel and keep clear of moving jogger aerator.
• Jogs, aerates, aligns, and inverts pallet-sized loads; remove entrapped debris.
• Make adjustments to vibrations and aerating speeds as needed.
• Produce evenly stacked pallets for downstream presses; stage stock for next jobs.
• Report safety issues to supervisor; follow 5S and clean work environment.
