Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in the Palliative Care unit. The role involves applying the nursing process, patient and family education, and care coordination to support patients 18 and older with diverse, life-limiting conditions.

The position requires night hours 7:00pm–7:00am, three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours with some weekends. Strong teamwork and commitment to patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
• 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Continually evaluates patient progress and applies appropriate interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and a safe, healthy environment.
• Responsibilities may include additional duties as assigned.
