Job summary

Westmor Industries is seeking a detail‑oriented Paint Prep Technician to support our night shift production team. This role is essential in ensuring high‑quality finishes and maintaining the efficiency of our paint operations.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Sand surfaces using an air sander, apply sand poly and primer, verify removal of spatter and slag, and apply filler to achieve a smooth finish.
• Measurement & Documentation: Measure pre- and post-sand dry mill thickness and record measurements, complete paperwork accurately.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance, clean paint booths and lights, change filters, keep area production-ready.
• Safety & Operation: Identify masked areas for paint, operate tuggers and other machinery, wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Coordination & Organization: Coordinate workflow with team and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
