Gulf Island seeks Paint Preppers for the night shift in Houma, Louisiana. You will prepare surfaces for painting, assist painters, and help keep a clean, safe outdoor work area. The role emphasizes attention to detail and teamwork in a production environment.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, able to work outdoors in varying conditions, and willing to pass pre-employment drug screening and a physical. Experience in manufacturing is helpful.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of sanding, caulking and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and assist painters.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on site.
• Work outdoors and follow safety protocols, including use of protective gear.
