Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation on-site production role requiring hands-on operators to trim, inspect and pack containers or parts on line 1, and to manage the 95-gallon cans moved to the compactor and back after emptying.

You will monitor for quality defects, log data on required sheets, read and follow pick lists, and adhere to safety policies while supporting multiple packaging tasks on busy lines.

Qualifications

• Experience on production lines or packaging lines is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow discrete pick lists and tickets.
• Must be able to perform lifting and routine manual tasks on a production floor.

Responsibilities

• Trim, inspect and pack containers or parts on line 1.
• Move 95-gallon trash cans to the compactor and return after emptying.
• Inspect bottles and pack on assigned lines or rework areas.
• Monitor production for defects and inform supervisor of issues.
• Apply tickets to finished packages and ensure compliance with line work orders.
• Complete housekeeping duties and safety observations as required.
• Participate in monthly safety or quality meetings.
• Adhere to Silgan safety policies and report hazards.
