Job summary

Stefanini, Inc. in Huntington Beach, CA seeks a Conversion Operator for the 11PM–7:30AM shift. You will operate packaging equipment, load and unload rolls, and prepare samples for customers by following work orders.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting controls and safety devices, maintaining clean work areas, and communicating material issues to supervision. Prior lifting and safety awareness are required, with readiness to work in a temp-to-hire role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duty of packaging rolls as it is produced on the machine per work order instructions.
• Must be able to perform some lifting (<50lbs).
• Obtains material for processing from inventory bins. Advises supervisor if damaged, defective, or missing material is found.
• Performs machine set-ups according to standard procedures or work order plans provided by supervisor.
• Checks operating controls and safety stops on equipment prior to operating equipment.
• Must have legible handwriting skills.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Reviews work order drawings and resolves conflicts.
• Produces and packs manufactured product per work order instructions during shift.
• Must be able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• Must maintain lift cart certification.
• Notifies supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.
