Job summary

Apex International in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a Production Technician to set up, operate, and maintain packaging lines on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM) Sunday–Thursday, with overtime as needed. This role ensures output meets schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.

You will perform changeovers, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, sanitation, and line coordination while adhering to cGMP and loss-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred on high-speed packaging lines.
• 1–3 years of maintenance, repair, or set-up experience preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical and electromechanical skills.
• Experience with hand tools and fasteners (standard and metric).
• Ability to learn or operate machine programs using an HMI (e.g., REB, Shorewood).

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and perform changeovers to meet daily schedules.
• Assist Set-Up team with RCOs and cleaning activities.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and perform preventive maintenance (PM).
• Perform minor repairs and report major issues promptly.
• Sanitize, inspect, and stage parts and equipment for changeovers.
• Coordinate line activities to maintain optimal line speed and efficiency.
• Participate in shift hand-offs and address issues with a line-stop mindset.
