Job summary

SubCom, located in Newington, NH, is seeking a Tradesperson Class 1 (packaging) to support high-reliability manufacturing of packaged fiber Bragg gratings for subsea telecom applications. You will handle fiber, perform assembly/inspection, splicing, and interpret optical measurements within automated production lines.

Responsibilities include training peers, troubleshooting with engineering, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work at heights.
• Wamiliarity with fiber handling and inspection processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day operation of one or more work stations with minimal supervision.
• Maintains process controls and Lean Daily Management targets; supports 5S activities.
• Trains peers on one or more processes.
• Troubleshoots production problems with engineering support.
• Ensures quality and delivery thresholds at their workstation.
• Supports continuous improvement and Lean Daily Management initiatives.
• Follows instructions and handles multiple production tasks; may require overtime.
