Job summary

Lake City Plating is seeking a Packaging Specialist to accurately prepare customer product for shipment, verify order details, and perform counting and labeling to ensure correct, safe delivery.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to traveler instructions, packaging standards, and safe operation of packaging equipment within a manufacturing environment. Overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately count product and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and traveler requirements.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to learn and use applicable company systems.
• Ability to safely operate packaging and material handling equipment following required training and authorization.
• Previous manufacturing/packaging experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review traveler instructions and order information prior to packaging to verify part identification, quantities, and packaging requirements.
• Accurately count and verify product quantities using counting or weight methods.
• Package customer product per instructions to protect quality and minimize damage during storage and transport.
• Operate packaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Label packaged products to ensure correct shipment and tracking.
• Prioritize packaging work to support timely shipment of orders.
