Job summary

Hallmark Cards is seeking a Packaging Specialist to join the Lawrence Production Center, working a Sunday night to Friday morning shift (11:30pm–7:30am). The role covers multiple departments and hands-on duties from handling product to operating labeling equipment, ensuring quality and proper paperwork are completed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs frequently and 60 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk approximately 95% of the time
• Ability to reach, twist, bend, use repetitive hand/wrist motion and perform fine motor skills approximately 95% of the time
• Ability to frequently work at or above shoulder level

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the different assignments with a focus on cross-training between departments.
• Assist the operator with maintaining specified production, such as throughput, OEE, etc., by placing cards/stock onto flat skid or in carton boxes or pack wholesale unit into cartons.
• Execute Quality System including preflight, checking products for accuracy, sampling plan, and the removal of salvage/spoilage by using a guide, shop sample or other approved methods.
• Utilize good safety practices.
