Job summary

Diamond Pet Foods is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator for Packaging and Palletizing to operate the bagger packaging machine, perform changeovers, and ensure quality checks in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This full-time, on-site role offers a 5:00 pm–5:25 am schedule, forklift operation, and responsibility for maintaining safety, documentation, and production flow.

Qualifications

• Experience operating packaging equipment (bagger) and palletizing lines.
• Ability to perform quality checks on bags, weights, seals.
• Willingness to work night shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the bagger packaging machine efficiently and correctly.
• Perform product changeovers (one product to another).
• Conduct quality checks (seal, weight, size, shape) and log results.
• Record shift production on Quality Control Log.
• Perform metal detector checks and document on CCP log.
• Retain product samples and maintain traceability.
• Maintain production flow per schedule and setup printer codes.
• Troubleshoot alarms on palletizer and fix bag defects.
• Use forklift to stage pallets and offload trailers.
• Keep workstation clean and safe; read schedules for product lines.
• Cross-train as needed and adhere to SOPs, GMPs, HACCP.
