Job summary

Diamond Pet Foods is seeking a Food Safety / Sanitation Technician for night shift (4:00 pm – 4:20 am). Duties include cleaning of machinery, cross-contamination control, and supporting QC with sanitation activities in a pet food plant.

Position requires adherence to SOPs/GMP/HACCP, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime with full PPE. Competitive benefits are included with the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug screen, background check, and physical).
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb, squat, bend, pull, push, and scrub in all directions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure minimal risk of cross contamination by properly utilizing color coded equipment in the appropriate colored zones.
• Complete clean out of production lines and processing equipment by foaming, sanitizing, scrubbing, and scraping using various chemicals and tools.
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities by foaming, sanitizing, scrubbing, and scraping using various chemicals and tools.
• Complete the master sanitation schedule of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, and any other logs.
• Sort chemicals, mix, and fill up sanitizer tanks.
• Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP's, and HACCP.
• Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
• Report all safety violations and hazards to the supervisor immediately and participate in all safety programs and procedures. Must always wear required PPE.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude.
