Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice seeks an Orthopedic Surgery Charge Nurse (RN) to lead a 16-bed Med Surg unit on the night shift. Provide direct patient care, develop individualized care plans with the team, and mentor staff to uphold clinical excellence and patient safety.

Duties include expediting admissions and discharges, participating in rounds, conducting in-the-moment audits for documentation quality, and supporting unit operations with a focus on patient-centered care and staff development.

Qualifications

• RN license required with 2–5 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills with a patient-centered focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
• Mentor and lead shift staff, promoting teamwork, clinical excellence, and patient safety.
• Assist in unit operations, expedite admissions and discharges, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
• Perform in-the-moment audits to ensure proper documentation and quality care.
