Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week night shift contract in a 29-bed unit serving adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical-surgical patients in North Carolina. The role includes telemetry monitoring, meds administration, and coordinating care plans for orthopedic cases.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of nursing experience (travel experience preferred), an active RN license, BLS, and Epic charting proficiency. Willingness to float to other units is required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with charge RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Must be willing to float as necessary to other units.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients ranging from adulthood to geriatrics.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established guidelines.
• Monitor patient conditions via telemetry and respond appropriately to any changes.
• Manage patient care plans, including those for orthopedic patients (e.g., total joint replacements, fracture repairs).
• Assist with physical therapy procedures as needed within the unit.
• Perform charge RN duties when required, including overseeing nursing staff and patient flow.
