Job summary

Attalon, Inc. in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM) to assemble small components to exacting specifications in a cleanroom setting.

You will use high‑power microscopes and precision tools, following strict procedures and ensuring product quality. We offer strong onboarding and training, a $2,500 sign‑on bonus, and an hourly wage of $18.50–$27.50 with a 15% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years experience in electronics or photonics.
• Familiar with Oracle, Agile and ISO standards.
• Experience with test equipment, soldering and microscopes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality.

This position will receive an additional 15% shift differential on top of the listed hourly range because it's on our 3rd shift (10PM-6AM).

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our manufacturing team in our Traverse City, Michigan facility. This role will work on our 3rd shift (10 :00 PM - 6:00 AM ). The successful candidate will be able to perform detailed assembly work on small components while following prescribed quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is carried out (within the cell) in a safe manner at all times and relevant risk assessments are fully understood by the team and all control measures are adhered to Understand and follow detailed working instructions in controlled documentation and manufacturing policies and procedures Perform work using a high-power microscope Follow all cleanroom procedures and policies Perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specification Routinely use hand tools, tweezers, oven, hot plates, crimps, and microscopes Perform optics and crystal cleaning and handling Clean and fasten optics and mechanical parts utilizing various chemical solvents and adhesives. Follow company procedures for engineering change notices, non-conforming product, customer concerns, returned goods, and report to proper personnel. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines, while meeting production goals and schedules. Transact work order in Oracle and Cumulus systems Seek additional tasks for completion whenever possible Monitor in process parts and communicate to inventory control Perform minor adjustments to the assembly workstations and offer feedback for major adjustments when needed Prepare products for shipping by completing necessary documentation and packaging of product Repair and document returned products for repair Communicate with supervisor regularly (several times a week) to convey work status Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-4 years’ experience in Electronics or Photonics field Familiar with Oracle, Agile, ISO, basic computer skills Experienced in the use of: DVM's, power supplies, and general test equipment Experience using hand soldering equipment Good hand and eye coordination is required Ability to multi-task and switch from task to task at short notice is a desirable quality Knowledge of production concepts such as calibration and quality systems Skilled in use of electronic and optical test and measurement systems Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with others in a teamwork environment Ability to maintain a high level of quality while functioning within a busy work environment Ability to recognize potential problem areas & communicate with supervisor

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a related field Clean room environment and Lean Manufacturing background is a plus. General understanding of lasers and laser safety a plus
