Job summary

Baptist Health, the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, is seeking a Third Shift RN - Charge Nurse at Baptist Medical Center South. This role coordinates unit activities, mentors staff, and upholds nursing processes and quality standards to deliver quality patient care.

The RN must hold current licensure, with BSN preferred and at least 1 year of staff nurse experience. Expect responsibilities that require leadership, effective communication, and teamwork in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience required.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending upon area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for quality patient care during the assigned shift.
• Serve as a mentor to staff and act as a role model in applying nursing processes and quality improvement standards.
• Coordinate with Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
