Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana seeks a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery, Mom/Baby, and NICU units. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration in an interdisciplinary team, and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Night shifts dominate with occasional days to meet staffing needs. Requirements include a BSN within 4 years (or grandfathered ASN/ADN options), Montana RN license, and certifications (BLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN fetal monitoring) within specified timelines.

Qualifications

BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current Montana RN license required.
BLS certification on hire; PALS within 9 months; NRP within 12 months; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Assess, recognize and address patients' psychological and physical needs.
Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and families in mind.
Communicate compassionately and effectively.
Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs.
Participate in clinical team conferences.
Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures.
