Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Technician for the Medical-Surgical Acute 5I unit to support patient care during the night shift. You will perform ADLs, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, and transport and assist with specimens under RN direction.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment. A high school diploma or GED is required; BLS certification is required on hire or within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred.
• BLS certification is required on hire or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to performance standards and policies.
• Performs patient care duties including ADLs, I&O, vital signs, EKGs.
• Collaborates with health care team and communicates effectively.
• Maintains infection control practices and participates in performance initiatives.
• Attends mandatory in-services and staff meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
