Job summary

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies and performance standards.
• Performs patient care tasks within scope under RN direction.
• Monitors vitals and I&O; documents accurately.
• Conducts EKGs and simple dressing changes as trained.
• Transports patients and assists with meals and activities of daily living.
• Assists with specimens, medications, and specimen collection.
• Supports health care providers during procedures and exams.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices.
• Participates in mandatory in-services and staff meetings.
• Uses cost containment practices and follows dress code and conduct rules.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Completes competency requirements and documentation as required.
