Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham is hiring a Nursing Tech for the 32-hour, night shift. The nursing technician provides basic care and assists with activities of daily living for non-acutely ill patients, under the supervision of the RN.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or CNA certification or equivalent experience required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification, LTAC or med/surg experience, or nursing clinical rotation preferred.
• MOAB training preferred; CPR and First Aid training preferred or must complete within 30 days.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
• Experience with computers or familiarity with keyboard and typing skills.
• Familiarization with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Follow the Nursing Care Plan and policies to ensure proper patient treatment.
• Observe and assist others to gain knowledge; demonstrate competence in care and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean inpatient nursing floor environment and assist with patient transfers as needed.
• Communicate clearly with the team and patients to support quality care.
