Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking a per diem Night Shift RN to support patient care across evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

You will supervise nursing care, verify nursing processes, coordinate with medical staff and support services, and respond to incidents and patient concerns. A Bachelor's in Nursing is required, with Master's preferred, and Massachusetts RN license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor staff and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care through verification of the nursing process and provide direction to staff.
• Coordinate with medical staff, ancillary support, and clinical services to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Act as off-shift patient care representative, listen to patient and family concerns, and investigate issues as needed.
• Conduct rounds and set expectations for accurate reporting, especially for high-acuity patients.
• Collaborate with support services and emergency personnel to address environmental and safety needs.
