Job summary

Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a day shift Weekend Nursing Supervisor for our 180-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Culpeper, VA. The role includes supervising the nursing department in the DON’s absence and coordinating patient care activities.

Qualified candidates will be a licensed LPN or RN with a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including acute care. We offer benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO and a 401K retirement plan.

• Experience in an acute care setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department in DON’s absence.
• Review staffing at shift changes and assign/rotate staff.
• Conduct patient care rounds and coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist in orientation and training of employees; supervise and evaluate staff.

The Nursing Supervisor oversees the nursing department in the DON’s absence. The Nursing Supervisor reviews staffing at the change of a shift and assigns and replaces staff to meet patient care needs. Completes patient care rounds. Coordinates admissions, transfers and /or discharges and ensures appropriate documentation. Assists in orientation of employees. Supervises and evaluates employees.

Qualified candidates will be a licensed LPN or RN and have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a nurse as well as experience in acute setting.
