Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. You will support licensed nurses with patient care, document care provided, and help with admitted, transferred, and discharged patients. The role requires assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Shift is 7am–7:30pm, 36 hours per week. High school diploma or GED required; CNA preferred; various Nurse Assistant program backgrounds accepted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (various titles acceptable but same role).
• If enrolled in a nursing program, must have Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• Foreign trained RN relocating to the US and not holding Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program may apply.
• At least one year of NA / PCT / PAT experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Identify concerns and communicate with the supervising RN.
• Assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Provide personal care to patients (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment per HFHS standards.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms and notify appropriate personnel.
• Document patient care accurately.
• Perform general clerical duties as assigned.
• Deliver supplies to patient rooms and departments.
• Assist with other duties within scope of practice as needed.
