Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Obstetrics Birthing Unit on the night shift. You will assist in patient care under licensed staff and help with safe transport and unit documentation.

This full-time role features 36 budgeted hours per week, evening/night coverage, and a focus on safety, teamwork, and compassionate patient-centered care for new mothers and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support.
• Basic medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• Ability to deal with a wide variety of individuals.
• 3 12 hours shifts 7p-7:30am.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care under direct supervision of licensed personnel.
• Safely transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher and documents services.
• Performs observer duties for patients requiring constant observation.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to support unit efficiency.
• Maintains patient safety and follows hospital policies and procedures.
